The last edition of the Vicksburg, Mississippi "the Daily Citizen" newpaper. Printed on wallpaper. Typeset on July 2, 1863, but printed by Union troops on July 4, 1863 with a change at the bottom in the last column announcing their victory. See images at right. One of my favorite items of the War, truly reflecting the struggle on the ground.
